AT THE WORKSHOPS...

You will create art projects that bring your inner world of ideas, feelings, ideals, and spiritual values into full self expression. Playfully co-create with your inner child; dance, sing, and paint, expressing your creativity and joy.

WORKSHOP PURPOSE:

Art can be used to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and a positive self-image as a creative personality. Art can be used to solve problems and to gain insight into one's value systems. We are relearning something older cultures have always used as a healing tool. That is to creatively process information with the right hemisphere first. Afterwards, one can use the language hemishpere to decode and explore the meanings contained in the symbolism of our creative acts and artwork.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
For teachers, child care workers, teen centers, counselors and help professionals.

The purpose of this workshop is to give teachers a unique and playful method of understanding students. It gives students a holistic and artistic way to understand themselves. Each learns to use their personal art symbols as a doorway to self-discovery and to problem solving.

Children can be shown how to use their creative imaginations in drawing, painting, or sculpting to alleviate stress, and to express their sometimes inexpressible inner feelings. Children learn and practice the expression of emotion language.

Many professional child care workers and teachers have used art to help children understand themselves better.

Children's art can sometimes get to the heart of their situation with astonishing quickness and clarity.

The creativity playshop can stimulate you to explore a variety of artistic forms of comunication with children. Art symbols are visual metaphors, which can be interpreted into language metaphors. Metaphors have many layers of meaning.

Trust is developed between you and those in your care.

Art helps children to understand themselves and their relationships with family and peers.

Art supplies included in workshop fee. Travel expenses not included.(For organizations and groups the workshop is designed and priced to your needs)

E. Series of Seven Spritual Therapeutic Art Workshops: Soul Journeys
Please inquire for schedule and themes of workshops. Series cost is $1,500 and includes a certificate of 40 hours training in Therapeutic Arts and all art supplies.

1/3 deposit is required; deposit is non-refundable if cancelled two weeks prior to workshop. $30 off for early registration or if you bring a friend.
